Usually a groups of villain is there, give it for conquering the world or revenge to hero(es) and of course the defenders of universe will stop them to completing their goals. What made them work is the group managed to not only irritation to me, but also how sneaky the leader (usually) is. Not only a masterful plan can work into the group but his/her minion can be a greater disadvantages to the hero party. I am sure many will disagree with me but this top 3 is solely based on what anime I watched and manga I have read so without futher ado, I present my top 3 villain groups. (More like 3 groups I remember the most)
No, not the Fairy Tail’s Oracion Seis but the Rave’s Oracion Seis. It was not humongous group I can say that but I am seriously can’t forget this group. I know at near of its manga conclusion, half of them are turning back at their group and help Haru and his gang to save the world but three of them; Jegan, Haja and Belial do whatever it take to defeat the newly-formed Rave warriors to destroyed Dark Bring or DB. What make me choose this as a top 3 villains is the fact that it take most of the manga chapters to defeat them. I’m always interested in what Oracion Seis plan to stop the bearer of Rave. Just imagine that the first Oracion Seis attacks at the land of Symphonia. What doesn’t showed in the anime was how the group managed to recruit another person into their ranks, two if you count Lucia (not Lucy, I wonder what happened if Lucy take its helm instead of Lucia). Julius by far, was the useless member of Oracion Seis. Why not, just thinking of his facial instead of fighting.
Although this can’t be count as a group and more on individual, Char Aznable and the Principality of Zeon/Neo-Zeon can be seen as a threat for Earth Federation. Start as the soldier of Zeon if you will on the first Gundam series, his battle with Amuro Ray seems to be endless. Before the event of Char’s Counter Attack, The Red Comet join forces with Camille and thus Amuro, to neutralized the threat planned by Titan. At first that seems the only opposition until Haman Karn’s Zeon decide to interfere so it come to triangle battle between them. After Haman has been defeated at the events of MSG Double Zeta, Char assumed the leadership of Principality of Zeon to fought with his nemesis, Amuro. In order to help his goal, Char has Anaheim Electronics to help Earth Federation to build a Gundam match to his Sazabi. The end can get confused a bit as Char later help his enemy to stop the fall of meteorite but my point is, Char incredibly successful as many of the Gundam successor has spawned its own (half)masked villain. Gundam, or rather Char Aznable make me wonder sometime was it they tried to stop Earth Federation evil plan all along?
But my number one team, I got to say Makoto Shishio and his Jyupoon Gatana (Hope spell it right). I don’t remember whether his defeat caused by his body conditions or Kenshin is somehow, magically gaining strength through what, phoenix down I supposed but my point is even with either of them, Makoto Shishio was truly the winner of the battle that decides the Japan fate. But not only Shishio intrigued me. His two warriors, Usui and Soujiro Seta was truly a warrior that can rival both Kenshin and Hajime. The back-story of these warriors was nicely made with Usui who wants to prove that he is stronger than Shishio and Seta who get abused everyday and decided to kill them in order to protect Shishio. I don’t claim to be an otaku but, since then there is always story like that in other anime. Naruto for instead in their first mission story arc. Seta was, truly an interesting character as he smile every now and then until he face Kenshin. At first I thought he was a female thanks to his beautiful look but then I realizes he is male once his anger was shown in battle with Kenshin.
As I said earlier, I am sure there is someone who is disagree with me. What is your top three group of villain. Don’t whether it come from anime, silver-age comic books or even the Decepticons, discuss it here.
