It’s been rumored that From Software was going to announce the third entry into the Dark Souls series at this year’s E3, and now The Know claims to have some leaked details on the upcoming game early. According to The Know, Dark Souls III will release in 2016 on the PS4 and Xbox One, and possibly coming to the PC, though that platform is undergoing negotiations. The game is being said to support 1-4 players, will have 10 classes to choose from, with 100 new weapons and 40 new armor sets with which to outfit your created character. Players will have 45 new enemies and 15 new bosses to contend with, though there is a note stating that number does not include returning characters and foes from previous games. There will also be a reported hour of cut scenes in the new game, more than in previous entries. The game will consist of 12 different areas, and players will perform rituals involving sacrifices in order to interact with other players’ worlds. Boss fights will have a “heat-up” factor, altering the nature of the combat.
More details are being said to be released at this year’s E3, which is now less than two weeks away. Stay tuned for more on this game.
