Dark Souls II getting DLC

As if the regular game didn’t provide you with enough ways to die, Bandai Namco is going to give you a few more ways to bite the dust in the RPG Dark Souls II. Three chapters, each released separately, will make up a large DLC pack compilation called The Lost Crowns. The first will be available on July 22, titled Crown of the Sunken King. Crown of the Old Iron King follows on August 26, with the last chapter, Crown of the Ivory King, bowing on September 24. Take note that all release dates are for North America.

Bandai Namco gives the following description of the first chapter, Crown of the Sunken King: “Crown of the Sunken King, the first chapter in the trilogy, sends players on a journey to reclaim the crowns that Drangleic’s King Vendrick once owned. Crown of the Sunken King features an entirely different world within the Dark Souls II universe, where stepped pyramids span a vast underground cavern. It is said that one of the ancient crowns lay buried deep within these dark caverns; but surely such a valued item cannot sit unguarded. Players that seek adversity and glory will be rewarded with a crown that holds the strength of lords from times long past.”

Each chapter can be purchased separately at $9.99 (USD), or you can get a season pass for $24.99 (USD).
