Falcom is developing a proprietary game engine, company president Toshihiro Kondo confirmed during its general meeting shareholders meeting today.
According to Kondo, while the Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series is developed on the Sony-made Phyre Engine, Falcom is currently developing its own engine internally. However, as it appears the engine will still take some time to complete, the first title to use the engine is still a long way off. Kondo said he would like to see how their future projects work with the new engine.
