Happy Star Wars Day!

Happy Star Wars Day, dear readers! And may the Fourth be with you! In honor of the day, here’s the original 1977 trailer for the movie that started it all (trailer courtesy of robintrailer).

Six films (seven if you count the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie), two television series (with a third on the way), videogames, and a large library of Expanded Universe novels and comics have followed since Star Wars first opened on screens in 1977. George Lucas created a universe that has enthralled and entertained millions, and will likely do so for years to come, as the franchise is now owned by Disney who is eager to bring more stories from the Star Wars universe to screens big and small. Recently the cast was revealed for Star Wars: Episode 7, which is being directed by J.J. Abrams and will hit theaters on December 18, 2015.

So, how will you celebrate the day? A Star Wars movie marathon? Watch episodes from Star Wars: The Clone Wars? Play some Knights of the Old Republic? Let us know in the comments below.
