Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the 9th game of the Metal Gear Series is an action game developed by Platinum Games and produced by Kojima Productions. With a whole significant change in gamplay as compared to previous Metal Gear Series, it was definitely not a let down. However, some might find the gameplay a little too short as it only  takes about 4 to 7 hours to be completed. Players however can rest assure as the game provides tight action whose campaign moves as quickly as its excellent combat. It’s hack and slash with various combos and different weapon choices  is sure to leave a smile on your faces. Not to mention the cut scenes and battles that will leave you awed with excitement, especially “Blade Mode”, the hook up of the game. To spice things up, players can opt to challenge the “VR Missions”  for a change. With more than enough incentive for repeat play-throughs, players are sure to add a platinum trophy to their respective PSN account. The game comes with 5 difficulties which is ” Easy”. ” Normal”,  “Hard”, “Very Hard” and lastly “Revengeance”. “Very Hard” and “Revengeance” only unlocks after players meet certain conditions.

The design of the world that Raiden inhabits is designed wonderfully, with unique characters and locations that are fun to explore and waiting to be cut into little bits. Each character has their own unique characteristic and catches your eye the moment you see them. Each and every one of them are so unique that it just leaves you with a feeling of weirdness and amazement at the same time. The bosses battle is a bonus wonder.  Being an all powerful cyborg that cuts up everything with a ninja sword is every boy’s wet-dream, and Rising doesn’t disappoint. Combat is fluid and impressively dynamic with blade mode adding a constant undercurrent of power that seem like you could take on the world. This is one of the games that keeps you pumped all the way.

At the start of the game, Raiden is working for the Colorado-based PMC Maverick Security to raise money for his family, performing multiple tasks such as the training of armies and VIP protection in an unknown African country that is recovering from a previous civil war. However, Raiden encounters an army of cyborgs from Desperado Enterprises, a self-proclaimed PMC that has been involved in various terrorist attacks. Their leader, Sundowner, kidnaps Raiden’s protectee, Prime Minister N’Mani, and Raiden goes to his rescue. Want to know what happen after that? The Verdict

The story is solid with awesome cutscenes, and though there are some repetition, it does nothing to hamper enjoyment of what is truly a fantastic title. This title is set to get you going with no regrets.
