Naughty Dog released a couple of details about the upcoming single player DLC for their game The Last of Us. The Last of Us, a PlayStation exclusive, has been well received by both critics and gamers alike, and many consider it as one of the frontrunners for GOTY honors. The DLC is titled Left Behind, and features both Ellie and Riley, a character from the Dark Horse comics prequel book, American Dreams. Arne Meyer from Naughty Dog wrote in a post on the Playstation Blog:
“In just a few short months since the release of The Last of Us, you have made it clear that Ellie has become one of your favorite characters in games. Today, we’re excited to confirm that you play as Ellie throughout the entirety of Left Behind. Joining Ellie on this new adventure is Riley, her best friend and also a mentor of sorts at the military boarding school. Just as The Last of Us focused on the bond between Ellie and Riley through a series of events that will forever change both of their lives.”
Left Behind is slated for release in early 2014, free to Season Pass holders and available to others for 14.99.
