New releases for the week of Monday, August 24, 2015

The last full week of August is a busy one, chock full of all kinds of goodies for all kinds of gamers. American football takes the center stage with Madden NFL 16 as the storied sports franchise delivers its latest version to Sony and Microsoft’s consoles. Gears of War is brought forward to current gen in an Ultimate Edition, as is the stealth game Dishonored, which has its Definitive Edition. Mega Man also comes to current gen and PC in the Mega Man Legacy Collection. Fans of 80s horror flicks such as Friday the 13th may find much to love in the new horror game Until Dawn. Tomb Raider gets mobile with Lara Croft Go for the Android and iPhone, and plenty of indie titles also make their way to consoles and PC this week. And just when you thought you were done with collecting figures the Star Wars themed Disney Infinity 3.0 drops this week. On the home video front, season 5 of The Walking Dead makes its way to DVD and Blu-ray just in time to catch up before season 6 begins in October. Also on home video is the romantic comedy Aloha starring Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone, the political thriller The Runner with Nicolas Cage, the action flick Big Game with Samuel L. Jackson, and the LEGO versions of DC superheroes hits the small screen in Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom! In the theater this week we get the action thriller No Escape starring Owen Wilson, the thriller Regression, and the Zac Effron musical romance/drama We Are Your Friends. So off we go to the list and, need I remind you, release dates are subject to change.
