Next-gen horror shooter Get Even revealed

[youtube id=”8RrS0GTsEEg”]get even4The Farm 51, the Polish developer behind Painkiller: Hell & Damnation and Deadfall Adventures, has revealed their first person shooter Get Even, which will be coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC in 2015. The game is being designed to blur the lines between single player and multiplayer, using “ambitious new dynamic and photorealistic graphics” and mechanics, mixing in elements of the horror and thriller genres. Th game’s story focuses on the memories of the game’s heroes. Players can choose various routes through the game, thus having the ability to mold the character in different ways. Taking a page from Dark Souls, players will be able to invade other players’ worlds, teaming up with enemies. This can make things quite interesting, as you never would know if you’re up against a human opponent or an AI foe.

Weapons used in the game will be grounded in reality, though you can expect some futuristic elements. The developer talks about the game’s weapons: “Weapons that fire around corners play a large part in Get Even, allowing the user to shoot from a safe position. These weapons can be linked with the player’s in-game smart phone to not only add a sight functionality, but use apps to bolster attack options. Corner-shot weapons are fully customizable throughout the game.”

The game’s trailer looks quite interesting. Stay tuned for more on this as we get it.
