According to Eurogamer, Nordic Games will release two collections of properties picked up from THQ. The collections are expected to be available sometime during Q2 2014, between April and June, in both Europe and North America. The collections will contain titles from the Darksiders and Red Faction franchises for both the PS3 and PC. Only the Darksiders Collection will be available for the Xbox 360.
The Darksiders Collection (called Darksiders Complete on PC) will contain Darksiders 1 and 2, along with all of the DLC for the second game. Red Faction gets two separate collections. For the PS3, the collection will contain Red Faction, Red Faction: Guerilla, Red Faction: Armageddon, and the Path to War DLC. The PC gets Red Faction 2 in addition to the other titles, and will be called Red Faction Complete.
Nordic explained why Xbox won’t be getting the Red Faction Collection, saying “according to Microsoft, the Collection did not comply with some of their guidelines for such a pack.” Nordic is working on removing Games for Windows Live from the set. This was the first use of either IP since Nordic acquired the franchises from THQ. In a statement to Eurogamer, Nordic said, “The Collections are a good way for us to keep a close eye on the community, and if we were ever to go ahead with new game development in the franchises, their feedback will be eagerly received.” Pricing should be around $60 (USD) for the Darksiders Collection and $40 (USD) for Red Faction. More on this once we get actual release dates.
