Freedom Cry, the story driven Assassin’s Creed IV DLC featuring Kenway’s first mate Adewale, is slated to be released next week. The DLC hits the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on December 17, with the PS3 and PS4 getting it a day later, on December 18. The DLC features nine missions and roughly four hours of gameplay, and is free if you have the Season Pass. Look for our review after its release.
The developer for the poorly received The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct and the much better vampire game BloodRayne has apparently closed its doors. The closure of Terminal Reality was reported in Gamasutra, citing a former employee noting in his Facebook post “TRI seems to have finally shut down.” No official word has been announced yet, but there are signs pointing to the studio being closed. Terminal Reality, based in Texas, first opened in 1994, with its first game being Terminal Velocity, an arcade-style flight simulator. Its most recent titles, 2012’s Kinect Star Wars and 2013’s The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, were both poorly received by both critics and gamers.
