Despite initial reports that development would continue on the game when Disney acquired LucasArts, it now looks like the anticipated Star Wars 1313 is officially dead in the water. The game had been on hold and then cancelled, though hopes held out that it could get resurrected in light of a planned spin-off movie featuring bounty hunter Boba Fett. Sadly, as of December 23, 2013, Disney did not renew the trademark for the game, and as of today, rental service Gamefly has sent out e-mails to customers who had the game in their GameQ that the title was being removed. A sad thing for Star Wars fans, as the initial teaser trailer and concept art showed promise. At least fans have a new Star Wars Battlefront, being developed by EA, to look forward to.
According to Eurogamer, Microsoft will be releasing Fable Trilogy, hitting North America on February 4 and Europe three days later, on February 7. The collection will include the games Fable II, Fable III, and the remastered Fable Anniversary, which will also include the Lost Chapters DLC. Fable II and Fable III will be the original versions, as explained by Microsoft: “The games in this bundle are available as individual downloads in the Xbox Games marketplace and are exactly the same.” It was further clarified: ” The Fable Trilogy bundle in the Xbox Marketplace is real and in development. The bundle will include full Xbox 360 titles for Fable Anniversary, Fable II, and Fable III. We’re excited to share official details regarding the release soon on Lionhead.com.” Fable Anniversary will also be released as a stand-alone title on the same day as the bundle.
