A possible launch date for developer Namco Bandai’s fighting game for the Wii U may have been revealed in a statement made by Bernd Fakesch to Neckar-Chronik (via Neo GAF). Fakesch said, “At Christmas we now want to inspire with titles like Wii Party U, Wii Sports Club, Wii Fit U and all of course Super Mario 3D World, the classic Nintendo Family for the new console. For next spring two more big license games are also announced for our TV console with Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros.”
So it’s looking like a Spring 2014 release for Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U. No word on whether the title will be available on the 3DS as well. Two features for the game have recently been revealed by Nintendo- the Skull Kid Trophy Assist and a Super Mario Galaxy stage. We’ll bring you more info on when the game will release as it becomes available.
