Star Wars: Rogue One cast photo released

Disney has released a cast photo for their first Star Wars Anthology movie Rogue One. Take a look below.

The cast includes Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale), Diego Luna (Milk), Ben Mendelsohn (Bloodline), Donnie Yen (Hero), Jiang Wen (Let the Bullets Fly), Forest Whitaker (Southpaw), Alan Tudyk (Firefly), and Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler). The movie takes place prior to the events in Episode IV: A New Hope and follows a group of Rebels as they attempt to steal the plans for the Death Star. It will be a departure from past movies as no Jedi are featured in the film, focusing instead on regular troops. The movie is being directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) from a story by John Knoll (visual effects supervisor on Pacific Rim) and Gary Whitta(the videogame Prey), with the screenplay being written by Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass).

Star Wars: Rogue One is set for release on December 16, 2016.
