Ubisoft takes us back to the Ice Age for next Far Cry game

Ubisoft has announced the next installment in the Far Cry franchise. Titled Far Cry Primal, the game will transport players back to 10,000 BC, where you’ll follow the story of a hunter named Takkar. Check out the announcement trailer below.

As Takkar, you will need to learn to craft weapons and tools, hunt for food, fend off dangerous predators and rival tribes if you are to survive in the land of Oros. Returning features from previous games include outposts, spreading fires, and character upgrades, along with new features like the scent of dead prey attracting dangerous predators. The game will pit players not only against other humans but against nature itself.

Far Cry Primal is set to release on February 23, 2016 for the PS4 and Xbox One, with the PC version arriving a month later.
