Voice cast revealed for The Elder Scrolls Online

esoBethesda revealed the voice cast today for its upcoming MMO The Elder Scrolls Online. Some big names are included in the cast, including John Cleese of Monty Python fame, Michael Gambon (who took over the role of Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies after Richard Harris passed away), Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2), Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman), Bill Nighy (Underworld, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Shaun of the Dead), Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, Star Trek Generations), Kate Beckinsale (Underworld, the 2012 remake of Total Recall, Van Helsing), Peter Stormare (Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, The Last Stand), Jim Ward (Assassin’s Creed III), Jennifer Hale (Mass Effect 3, The Legend of Korra), and Kevin Michael Richardson (The Cleveland Show).

Beckinsale will play Queen Ayrenn, Queen of the High Elves and leader of the Aldmeri Dominion. Cleese plays Cadwell described as a “cheerful and endearingly mad lost soul who is not afraid of anyone, even a Daedric Prince.” Gambon plays The Prophet, a mysterious blind man who guides the player on their journey to retrieve their soul. Molina plays Abnur Tham, the wily wizard who is head of the Elder Council and the true power behind the Ruby Throne. Carter portrays the Daedric Princess of Dusk and Dawn, Azura. Nighy plays High King Emeric, and McDowell plays the Daedric god Molag Bal. Stormare plays Jorunn the Skald King, Ward voices Mannimarco the necromancer, Hale plays the Nord half-giant Lyris Titanborn, and Richardson rounds things out as master swordsman Sai Sahan.
